Betty Wright-Riggins is an ordained American Baptist minister. She has worked with persons and congregations for more than 25 years, assisting in the areas of church transformation, church transitions, defining visions and developing church leaders. She has worked intimately with laity, ministers, and pastors.
About eight years ago, Betty founded TrustOne Ministries, a consultative ministry emphasizing Spiritual Direction, Grief Recovery, and Congregational Transformation.
Betty leads contemplative and congregational retreats. She is an often sought after Bible study, seminar and topical series leader. She serves as an adjunct seminary professor teaching subjects as "Theology and Practice of Prayer", Spiritual Disciplines and Formation," and "Grief and Loss". She is a member of Spiritual Directors International and Spiritual Directors of Color, both national and international professional organizations. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, a distinguished service organization.
Betty has served her communities as Pastor, New Church Planter, retreat leader for local churches, region clusters and small groups. She is a practicing spiritual director and member of the Network of Spiritual Directors at Princeton Seminary. She has provided leadership as a financial services specialist, local church, area minister and educational consultant. Betty has been a school district principal, Head of private school, school administrator and speech pathologist.
